Samsung attorney: 'Apple doesn't own beautiful and Sexy'

Samsung attorney: 'Apple doesn't own beautiful and Sexy'
Samsung Attorney
An attorney for the Korean electronics giant says during closing arguments in a damages retrial Tuesday that Apple's patents are "very narrow."
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Samsung on Tuesday argued that Apple deserves a low amount of additional damages for patent infringement because Apples patents are "very narrow." Samsung attorney Bill Price said Apple has tried to show its patents cover all aspects of design and ease of use, preventing companies from making "attractive" devices that are easy to use. However, the patents are limited, he argued, which is why Samsung should only pay Apple $52 million for patent infringement, not the $380 million Apple has requested. "Apple has tried to mischaracterize these patents so they are the iPhone," Samsung attorney Bill Price said during closing arguments in a court here. But "these patents are very narrow. ... Apple doesn't own beautiful and sexy." He added that while Samsung knew it needed to alter its devices to compete with the iPhone, Apple has done the same thing with new devices like the iPad Mini. "There's nothing wrong with looking at your competitors and changing what you do because of it," Price said. Meanwhile, Apple attorney Bill Lee argued that Samsung's patent infringement significantly harmed the company and that the electronics giant deserves an additional $380 million for that damage. He noted that Samsung's copycat tactics helped it gain significant market share while other rivals struggled. And he said the patent infringement set back Apple. "Apple can never get back to where it should have been in 2010," Lee said Tuesday during his closing arguments.

Nokia Lumia 525 press image makes the rounds on Facebook

Nokia Lumia 525 press image makes the rounds on Facebook
Nokia Lumia 525
Nokia Lumia 525 press image makes the rounds on Facebook - read the full textAfter getting spotted in China’s mobile certification agency, the upcoming Nokia Lumia 525 made another appearance. This time around, a press image of the handset made the rounds on Facebook. The press image reveals that Nokia Lumia 525 will sport a visibly sleeker profile than its. Fortunate Nokia went with WP, at least they are making progress even if it's predominantly in the budget smartphone space. Even if Android may be more advanced right now, it's way too heavy to run buttery smooth on budget phones. Nokia would have had to compete head-on with Samsung, Sony, LG on the high end: just consider HTC's current situation, despite the HTC One and its siblings being fantastic phones. It's not easy winning against a massive company like Samsung that makes TV's, 3rd party chips, laptops, memory, even microwave ovens; pretty much anything electronic... compared to a dedicated phone company. Numbers beg to differ. Nokia sold 8.6 million phones this quarter and Sony sold 10. Nokia is 4th largest smartphone seller in the US, and even HTC which is a very well known Android maker is behind them. Nokia just overtook Apple in Europe, and is poised to take iOS in the U.S. too. They have been making progress very quickly. Throw this idea of "nobody cares" out of your head, because Nokia is closing fast with Windows Phone.

Galaxy Note 3 reportedly to pop up in Pink, Black and White

Galaxy Note 3 reportedly to pop up in black, white, and pink
Galaxy Note 3 Pink, Black, White
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 3 may be able to pick up the biggie phone in pink -- at least if they can wait several week before snagging it. The phone/tablet, or "phablet," will initially launch during the first week of September in black and white variations, according to SamMobile. It will then debut in pink by late October, the site said Friday, citing information from an inside source. The pink version of the Note 3 may or may not be exclusive to South Korea and Taiwan, SamMobile added. In May, CEO J.K. Shin said that the new model will kick off at the IFA trade show in Germany in September, according to the Korea Times. Both SamMobile and Bloomberg have pegged September 4 as the specific date for the Note 3's unveiling. Assuming that date is correct, the phone will likely take the stage at Samsung's Unpacked Episode 2 event, along with the recently rumored Galaxy Gear smartphone.
Samsung has yet to reveal any specs for the Note 3. But insider information leaked to SamMobile claims there will be two variants of the phone. Both will offer a 5.68-inch Super AMOLED 1,920x1,080 display, a 13-megapixel camera, and a choice of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of internal storage.

Samsung Ch@t 333

Samsung Ch@t 333
Samsung Ch@t 333
Samsung has introduced a new cheap, low-spec handset to the country in the form of the Ch@t 333 phone. Bearing more than a passing resemblance to the older line of BlackBerry devices, the Ch@t 333 is being marketed as a “smart messenger phone”, using a proprietary operating system to power a series of social networking applications. The Ch@t 333 uses a tiny single core processor (208MHz) to run a 2.4-inch TFT display. The phone only features a tiny 2 megapixel rear camera and supports microSD cards up to 32GB but the specs aren’t really being marketed as being as important as the functionality of the phone.

Samsung Electronics South Africa’s Craige Fleischer has said in a statement that “…consumers are looking to become more connected and the Samsung Ch@t 333 is designed to meet these exact messaging and connectivity needs in the form of a cost-effective device.” The cost-effectiveness can be seen in the pricing, a relatively cheap R600. Samsung’s latest low-cost device will never replace your smartphone but it should find a market in South Africa at that price point.

Nexus 7 Tablet

Nexus 7 Tablet
Nexus 7 Tablet
Google's Breakfast with Sundar event is underway and the biggest news so far is the announcement of a new Nexus 7 tablet. Yep, it's real, and is already available for pre-order at Best Buy. Taking a look at the new Nexus 7 tablet (pictures) 1-2 of 18 Scroll Left Scroll Right As expected, the new Nexus 7 is a 7-inch tablet running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The 16GB Wi-Fi-only version will be available for $229.99, with a 32GB Wi-Fi-only model coming for $269.99. A 32GB 4G LTE (unlocked) version will retail for $349. Among the key features are an HD screen (with 1,920x1,200 resolution); front and rear cameras (1.2 and 5.0 megapixel, respectively); Bluetooth 4.0; a 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor; 2GB of RAM; HDMI output; NFC; and an Adreno 320 GPU (the same one that's graphics chip used in the Samsung Galaxy S4). There's also support for Dual band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and wireless charging using any Qi-compatible charger. The large top and bottom bezels from the first generation Nexus 7 return. (Credit: James Martin/CNET) The new Nexus 7 is the first device to support the latest version of OpenGL ES: 3.0. The new version includes support for higher quality reflections and lens flares. Of course game developers will actually have to program these new graphical features into games before you'll see any notable difference. Hopefully, with support for the latest version of OpenGL, framerates on the new Nexus 7 will be higher than other devices using the same S4 processor, such as the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. It's not a slow processor by any means, but in my testing, the S4 comes nowhere near Qualcomm's own Snapdragon 800 or Nvidia's Tegra 4 in raw performance.

Archos 97b Titanium

Archos 97b Titanium
Archos 97b Titanium
Just as the Archos 80 Titanium was, shall we say, a homage to the iPad mini, so the Archos 97b Titanium is the French manufacturer’s take on the iPad 4. There’s no mistaking the influence of Apple’s tablet in the physical design, and the 97b Titanium even packs in a Retina-esque display, with a 9.7in diagonal, the same 4:3 aspect ratio and an identical resolution of 2048 x 1536. Yet where the cheapest version of the current iPad costs £399, the 97b Titanium is available for under half that price. How has Archos managed this, you might well wonder… Design Surprisingly, it hasn’t done it by skimping on build quality. The Archos has a plastic frame behind the glass screen and a plastic back, separated by a slim strip of chrome (or at least chrome-effect). The plastic on the rear has a little flex, but not much, and the whole construction feels surprisingly solid for a large screen budget tablet. The rear has two grilles for the speakers at the top and bottom of the tablet, plus the rear-facing camera sticking out in the top-right corner. At 650 grams the 97b Titanium is too heavy to hold one-handed like a 7in tablet for any length of time, but it’s a good size and weight for use on the move. I’d think about investing in a case first, however. Neither the screen nor the body seem particularly scratch-resistant. Physical controls are limited to a volume rocker and a power button, while connectivity is basic too. There’s a socket for the proprietary AC charger, a microUSB port and a headphone socket, but no HDMI output or anything more advanced. You do, however, get a microSD card slot, which you’ll need to boost the rather pitiful 8GB of onboard storage provided.

Nokia 105 As cheap as it looks

Nokia 105
Nokia 105
BARCELONA, Spain--You might not think that an electric blue phone with an itty-bitty 1.5-inch screen would appeal to most folks, but Nokia is guessing that its extremely targeted, extremely simple Nokia 105 is going to fit the bill for folks who have 15 euros to spend. Intentionally created for the entry-level cell phone markets in China, Indonesia, India, and Nigeria, the Nokia 105 focuses on calls, long battery life, and only a few little extras. The handset comes in black and the now-signature Nokia cyan shade. When I held it in my hands, my first impression was that somebody put a thumbnail sticker of a tiny screen in the middle of a sea of cheap blue plastic. With rubbery keys and that candied azure hue, this thick, comical handset looks and feels like a children's toy. Nokia 105, as simple as it gets (pictures) 1-2 of 5 Scroll Left Scroll Right One bonus: it does look durable and is splash and dust-proof. In addition, the Nokia 105's rubbery keys are tactile and very responsive, but the material stretches over them in such an undefined blanket that it's hard to dial by feel. The central select button offers too much give when I use it; it should bounce back a bit more, and be a skosh stiffer. On the screen, tiny icons smaller than my pinky nail help you navigate around the color screen, opening the flashlight, FM radio, alarms, and a reminder app, for starters. Since the screen demands such little power, the 800mAh battery lasts for over 12.5 hours on talk time, Nokia says, and will power through 35 days on standby without a charge. You'll notice that there's no camera, no volume rocker, and in fact, no buttons at all apart from the alphanumeric dialpad (which does contain a power button.) While I see this as a design flaw -- I don't know anyone who doesn't want to manually control their audio volume -- fewer joints and openings also do a better job protecting internals from the elements. Still, a volume rocker on the side of the phone would not go amiss. Yet the rock bottom retail price of only 15 euros doesn't give critics much room to complain about value, at least not until we test it. The Nokia 105 is expected to ship before the end of the first quarter.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs Xperia Z

Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs Xperia Z
Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs Xperia Z
Sony has revealed its latest Android phone, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. But how does it differ from the Xperia Z, which was, up until now, Sony’s flagship phone? It’s not quite as you might expect. In some respects the Xperia Z is the superior mobile. Xperia Z UltraDifference #1 – Xperia Z Ultra is much, much larger These days, a 5-inch phone like the Xperia Z is not considered a phone-tablet hybrid but just a great big phone. The Xperia Z Ultra trips over the line into hybrid territory. It has a 6.4-inch screen. Its bezel may be super-slim, but the Xperia Z Ultra is still 9.2cm wide. That’s 2cm wider than the Xperia Z – a phone that is already pretty massive in its own right.

(Credit: Stephen Shankland/CNET) It's not every day that a new mobile operating system arrives, but Tuesday will be one of them as Telefonica begins selling the inexpensive ZTE Open with Mozilla's Firefox OS in Spain. The move marks the commercial beginning of an effort by phone makers and network operators to use Mozilla's open-source, browser-based operating system to reclaim power in the mobile market lost to Apple and Google. The phone itself costs 69 euros ($90), including 30 euros ($39) of pay-as-you-go credit -- or for those who sign up for a two-year contract, for 2.38 euros ($3.10) per month. That's a lot cheaper than most of the new Android and iOS smartphones on the market today that consumers have flocked to and that Firefox OS is competing with. The ZTE Open won't impress smartphone power users who want more than its 3.5-inch 480x320-pixel touchscreen, 3.2MP camera, 256MB RAM, and 512MB flash memory that's boosted with an included 4GB microSD card. But it's not designed to win them over; it's more for new and cost-conscious smartphone buyers, Yotam Benami, Telefonica's digital director of open Web devices, said in an interview.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could break cover on September 4

  Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could be unveiled on September 4, during the IFA event in Berlin. Many of us were aware that the Note 3 will be unveiled sometime during early September, but weren’t quite sure when. It is also possible that Samsung might host a dedicated launch event a day prior to the IFA event, much like it did last year. The rumor generates from an unknown source, so hold onto that jar of salt before giving it any credence. The rumor mill is currently overflowing with contrasting news about the Galaxy Note 3, thus explaining our skepticism. Although in most cases, rumors like these turn out to be true. With the likes of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra set to hit the markets, Samsung’s latest phablet might just take all of the attention from the media and the people in general. But the competition is tougher this year, so we can expect something big from Samsung, quite literally.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Coming to U.S. on July 7

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Coming to U.S. on July 7
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
The first tablet to offer a serious alternative to the iPad has come a long way. The Samsung Galaxy Tab, which originally debuted in late 2010 and quickly earned status as Android's de facto tablet offering, is now in its third generation of products. Fittingly, it comes in three sizes — with screens that measure 7, 8 and 10.1 inches — and they're all coming to the U.S. on July 7. Of course, there are tons of other Android tablets now, and the Tab has evolved into Samsung's entry-level "consumption" tablets, leaving the high end to the company's premium Note line, which adds more features and processing power (not to mention a stylus) for people interested in "productivity" from their tablets. The Tab, on the other hand, is all about kicking back and enjoying some good old-fashioned content. All the models include an infrared blaster for controlling your TV as well as preloaded remote-control software.

Samsung ATIV S Neo
Samsung ATIV S Neo
The Samsung ATIV S Neo is a variant of the Samsung ATIV S. Early preview shots of the handset suggest a near identical design, but with some minor materials and colour variations from the ATIV S global variant. The specifications suggest some minor internal changes, and the cellular radio will be changed to support Sprint's bands and technology. The device includes international voice and data capabilities, suggesting WCDMA and potentially GSM radios will be included in addition to the LTE and CDMA radios. Kevin Packingham, Samsung Mobile chief product officer, said: “Samsung is committed to offering smartphones across a variety of platforms and the rich Windows Phone 8 experience on the ATIV S Neo is a testament to this effort. The ATIV S Neo makes it easy to stay in-the-know while connecting with friends, family and colleagues, through new sharing features and powerful productivity applications.” Key features of the Samsung ATI S Neo include a 4.8 inch display (HD - 720 x 1280 resolution), 8 megapixel camera, 1.4GHz dual-core processors, 1 GB of RAM, microSD card slot, and 2,800 mAH battery. The device will ship with a number of Samsung exclusive apps, including the recently released ATIV Beam, a camera app with a Beauty mode (smoother looking skin in headshots), Manga Camera (turn friends and family into cartoons), and Samsung's standard Photo Editor app. The Samsung ATI S Neo, which will go on sale later this summer, will be available for $149.99 with a two year contract commitment, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Sony Xperia Z Tablet

  Sony Xperia Z Tablet
  Sony Xperia Z Tablet
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has some serious 'wow' factor. While recently released smartphones and tablets have mostly tinkered around the edges, with incremental improvements to hardware, the Xperia Z tablet is here to shake things up. There’s plenty to like about the Xperia tablet’s design: an impressively slim 6.9mm device which is not only thinner than other 10” inch tablets but also puts the iPhone 5 to shame. Equally impressive is the fact that Sony has managed to fit all the necessary ports and battery without putting on much weight. The water and dustproof device weighs in at just 495 grams. That’s 24 per cent lighter than the latest iPad and 18 per cent lighter than a Google Nexus 10. This is a formidable offering from Sony, but then again it has to be, because the Xperia tablet goes into battle against heavyweight competition like Google and Apple.

Samsung S4 marketing charm wears off

Samsung S4 marketing charm wears off
Samsung S4 marketing charm wears off
SEOUL: Analysts fell under Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's marketing spell when they made what they now admit were hopelessly optimistic forecasts for its smartphone sales. Samsung's huge share of the high-end smartphone market also persuaded some analysts to downplay industry data pointing to a fast-saturating segment, a reality that is already eating into sales of Apple Inc's iPhone 5. Woori Investment & Securities, one of South Korea's largest securities firms, cut its outlook for Samsung's earnings and target share price on June 5. It was the first to adjust its view. A massive wave of downgrades has since followed, with forecasters including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs taking a harder look at their assumptions of how well the S4, Samsung's latest Galaxy smartphone, would actually do.

SOUTH KOREA: Samsung Electronics plans to sell a variation of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone that will transmit data at nearly twice the normal speed, the head of its mobile business said on Monday. JK Shin, also co-chief executive of the world's biggest technology firm by revenue, said the phone would be sold in South Korea as early as this month. Samsung was in talks with several overseas carriers to take the phone, Shin told Reuters in an interview at Samsung's headquarters in Suwon, just south of Seoul. He declined to name the carriers. "We'll be the first with the commercial launch of the advanced 4G version of the smartphone," Shin said. The new S4 will use LTE-Advanced 4G technology, an upgrade from conventional 4G called LTE, or long term evolution. LTE-Advanced offers data transmission at up to twice the normal 4G speed. The phones will be powered by Qualcomm chips.

Xperia M Ericsson

 Xperia M Ericsson
 Xperia M Ericsson
Electronics manufacturer Sony ended a relatively quiet period today by announcing a new Xperia M smartphone. Judging from its dual-core processor and 5MP camera, clearly the Xperia M is a midrange Android handset and not in the same class as the company's Xperia Z flagship device. That said, Sony seems to have crafted the Xperia M with a similar amount of care and an eye for style. The Xperia M, if the official photos of the gadget do it justice, seems to be quite a looker. Thin and trim with angled edges, the phone sports many of the industrial design language that set the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL apart. You'll even find the familiar sliver of an LED notification light below the Xperia M's 4-inch (854x480 pixels) LCD screen. It pulsates in different colors depending on the alert it is communicating. Related stories Sony Xperia Z makes its way to T-Mobile Sony reportedly readies first phablet The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is so incredibly thin (pictures) Of course the display can't hold a candle to the massive and bright 5-inch full HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) screen that both the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL flaunt. Even so, a smaller viewing area likely translates into a more compact and pocket-friendly chassis. And like the Xperia ZL, the Xperia M appears to lack the Xperia Z's fancy glass back siding and splash/dust resistant body. The Xperia M looking pretty. (Credit: Sony) There's no word on pricing yet, nor is availability for the Xperia M is set for a specific date, beyond Q3 2013. I'm guessing chances are slim that it will reach U.S. shores, since the GSM phone lacks support for 4G LTE. For more info, take a look at our partner site CNET UK's take on the Sony Xperia M.

(Credit: Samsung) Samsung's S4 Galaxy Zoom -- which combines an Android smartphone with a 16-megapixel camera and 10x zoom lens -- is real. The model isn't likely to appeal to the mainstream smartphone buyer. But in an Android market crowded with options, a niche that caters to a particular subset can be a reasonable approach -- especially if that subset is as passionate, enthusiastic, and willing to part with money as photographers often are.

Samsung has announced another budget Galaxy smartphone: the Galaxy Ace 3. The Galaxy Ace 3 upgrades the specifications of its predecessor, the Galaxy Ace 2, with a 1GHz dual-core ARM-based processor and 1GB of RAM. The 480x800, 4in touch-screen uses LCD technology rather than Samsung's contrast-enhancing and battery-saving AMOLED. The rear of the handset has a five megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video support, with a VGA-resolution camera for video chat functionality at the front. 4GB of internal storage can be upgraded using a micro-SD card slot. As well as 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, The Galaxy Ace 3 includes assisted GPS and GLONASS (the Russian alternative to GPS) positioning support and will launch in 3G and Long Term Evolution (LTE) high-speed variants. The handset is due to launch with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, customised using Samsung's own TouchWiz user interface. Pre-loaded Samsung specific applications include S Voice, S Travel, S Translator, and Smart Stay. The latter uses the front-facing camera to turn the screen off to save battery when you look away from it. Samsung has confirmed it will be launching the handset alongside a Duos-branded dual-SIM variant in the near future, but has not indicated when it will be coming to the UK. The Galaxy Ace 2 is expected to cost the same as the Ace 2 at launch, at around £230.

Sony Xperia L review

Sony Xperia L review
Sony Xperia L review
The Xperia L is Sony's mid-range handset for this year, slotting in under the powerful Xperia SP and flagship Xperia Z. It's currently fairly expensive on contract but, at less than £225 SIM-free, you get an awful lot of phone for your money. Sony Xperia L The handset doesn't have a spectacular specification, but it all works well as a package. You get a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.1 - not much on paper, compared to the near-2GHz monsters we're now seeing on premium smartphones, but we've no complaints about the handset's performance. Apps open and shut with a snap and animations are silky-smooth. As we expected, the phone's performance in our Sunspider 1.0 JavaScript benchmark wasn't spectacular. It completed the test in 2,646ms using the default Chrome browser, which is twice as long as we saw from the Xperia SP with its 1.7GHz dual-core chip. Chrome is slow in Sunspider, but even with the faster Dolphin browser we only saw 1,564ms, which is very much a middling result. Subjectively, this average benchmark score didn’t make much difference to the phone's web browsing performance.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z review

Sony Xperia Tablet Z review
  Sony Xperia Tablet Z review
This is Sony's entrant into the 10-inch tablet arena, pitting itself against the likes of the Google Nexus 10 and iPad 4. Its 1,920 x 1,200 resolution screen falls a little short of both, but its trump card is that, just like Sony Xperia Z phone, it's water resistant up to one metre for 30 minutes, and dust resistant. Is it enough to turn the tide in its favour? Sony Xperia Tablet Z - Design Vitally, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z's water resistance doesn't come at the expense of style or portability. Quite the opposite, in fact. At 495g, it's 108g lighter than a Nexus 10 and 167g lighter than an iPad 4. It's a big difference, one that makes the Sony Xperia Tablet Z comfortable to hold in one hand for prolonged periods. It's also impressively slim - just 7.2mm all round - while the jet black design gives the Sony Xperia Tablet Z a sleek, imposing appearance that's all its own. Its size and 16:10 screen ratio is a little awkward for reading books (albeit better than 16:9 tablets), but it's perfect for games, video and web browsing. It's just a shame it doesn't feel as good as it looks.

Apple Inc. iPhones, iPads banned by US, Samsung Group triumphs
Samsung Group scored a victory over rival Apple Inc in their long-running dispute over mobile device patents after a US trade agency issued an order banning older but still-popular Apple products like iPhones and iPads from the US market. The US International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled on Tuesday that the Silicon Valley giant had infringed on a patent owned by Samsung Electronics that involves the ability of devices to transmit multiple services simultaneously and correctly through 3G wireless technology. The independent federal agency slapped a ban on the import or sale of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 3G and iPad 2 3G distributed by AT&T, the biggest seller of Apple devices in the United States when Samsung filed its complaint in 2011. The products are assembled in Asia. US President Barack Obama has 60 days to review the ruling. If he does not veto the order, it will go into effect. It is not immediately clear what the impact could be on Apple or AT&T should Obama let the ruling stand, since the decision remains subject to a potentially prolonged appeals process. While the products targeted are more than a year old, some models such as the iPhone 4 remain solid sellers. The most recent version covered by the ITC's decision - the iPhone 4 - is now given away with a contract offered by carriers including Verizon Wireless, which is not affected by the ruling.

Souped up Huawei Vision gives insight to the blind

Souped up Huawei Vision gives insight to the blind

When members of the blind community petition the National Federation of the Blind about cell phones, they repeatedly ask for two things: a mobile phone that's easy to use, and audiobooks. So says Odin Mobile, a new mobile network catering to the visually impaired. The Huawei Vision, Odin Mobile's star of the show at launch, promises to deliver both of those most-wanted attributes as soon as July -- and then some. Less important than the coincidentally named and preexisting Huawei Vision debut device is the modified operating system that's loaded onto the Android phone. Called Project Ray, or Ray for short, the OS combines gestures with audio feedback in a way that helps sight-impaired customers navigate around. For example, let's say you're in the dialer. Anywhere you place your finger on the touch display becomes the 5 button, the center of the dialpad. Based on that orientation, owners slide their finger on the display, lifting to select when the audio feedback reads out their desired number. This is a typical behavior for cell phone interfaces for visually impaired users, said Boaz Zilberman, Project Ray's founder
