HTC USA Mobile Set release on 8th October 2014

HTC USA MOBILE SET
HTC USA

The device, which passed through the TENAA certification carried the model number HTC USA M8Ew. The “w” moniker likely stands for its compatibility with China’s WCDMA networks. As you can see in the images above, the HTC One (M8) Eye will feature the same design as the version we already know. The only difference between the specs of the two is the 13MP main camera that the newcomer will bring – it is bound to be a significant improvement over the 4MP unit of the currently available M8. Physical measures of the upcoming device are 146 × 70.6 × 9.4 mm, while its weight tips the scale at 157 grams. Like its design, the waistline of the HTC M8 Eye matches that of the riginal. HTC One (M8) Eye is expected to debut next week, on October 8. HTC will also introduce an action camera at the event on mobile website
HTC USA released a teaser for its upcoming event in New York City on October 8. The tweet brings the following message: “Don’t adjust your screen. Just focus on the date.”The image in the tweet shows the back of an HTC One (M8) changing angles. The device in question could well be the previously leaked HTC One (M8) Eye. In addition to the abovementioned device, HTC is expected to launch an HTC Desire Eye handset with 13MP front-facing camera. An already teased action camera by the Taiwanese manufacturer is also coming on mobile website. We will be covering the HTC USA event live from the spot. Be sure to tune in for our full coverage.

Set of Samsung Q3 market of earning profit

Samsung Q3
Samsung Q3
Lebellium is our Samsung Moderator based out of France and English is not his first language, so the grammar and wording in this review is not perfect. Please refrain from grammar trolling in the comments and enjoy the content of the review. Lebellium really knows his stuff when it comes to Samsung and is well connected to the product teams there. He moderates our Samsung forums and does an incredible job- so please have that understanding while you read this review. Thanks! – Enzo/Grahm After more than a year and a half Samsung finally launched the successor of the Q2, the YP-Q3. Mp3 players enthusiasts have never been interested in the “Q” series but despite its numerous flaws, the Q2 was a bestseller, probably thanks to its low price. While the Q2 was based on the Q1, one can’t say the Q3 is based on the Q2. Actually, Samsung changed so many things that this new device is closer to the R0 than to the Q2. I really wonder why it still belongs to the “Q” series but Samsung series names never made sense after all. On the paper it looks like an interesting audio device but is it really? I’ll try to answer in this in-depth review.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Hey Sony...what's this? A phone without a 1080p screen? A smaller battery? Are you MAD? Wait, we get it. This is the mildly-nonplussing Xperia Z1 shoved into a smaller frame, with almost nothing compromised (the above two points aside). With a 4.3-inch screen it's one of the most easy to use devices in the hand, coming in next to the iPhone 5S, but it does it with a much lower cost and a great battery life to boot. On top of that it's waterproof and has expandable memory, plus a superb screen. It's been usurped in some ways by the Xperia Z2 insofar that if you want that Bravia-powered IPS screen, the G Lens camera or just general access to Sony's tight band of media apps, this is no longer the best Sony phone on the market and has dropped a couple of places as a result. However, if you're more about size then this is still the best of the mid-range players... check it out if you want to save a bit of cash over the bigger brother flagship too. Quick verdict Want a great phone that's just a little bit smaller without losing all the power? If so, then we've found your ideal device. Strong CPU, great battery and expandable memory are traits we love to see. It's not got the same screen sharpness as some of the others on show here, and the camera can oddly throw in a little noise here and there, but these are minor gripes indeed. It's been launched with a palatable price tag as well - so head on down to your local emporium and throw it in some water. Because it's waterproof too, not because you're a vandal. Google Nexus 5

Google Nexus 5
Google Nexus 5
So we've updated our review with the new phone software, and thankfully things are a lot better now. The battery is improved, the camera a little more stable, and the low cost is still in place. You already know we like Android 4.4, the clever implementation and the £299 price tag. We love the high power CPU, the quality screen; even the rubberised outer shell. You can get the LG G2 for around the same price now though, and that offers a far superior camera, better battery life and a huge slew of extra features - it really depends if you're a fan of the stripped-down experience. Quick verdict We're glad to put this smartphone higher up in the rankings, as it's one of the cheapest out there in terms of bang for buck. It's a great phone that hits the marks well - it lacks something in terms of innovation, but that's not a problem for those that want to be able to run all manner of apps and games at a decent price. It doesn't come in at the same price point as previous Nexii, but it's still jolly cheap. Google Nexus 5 review See the best Nexus 5 deals

LG G2

LG G2
LG G2
Wait, an LG phone in at number two? Believe it people; LG has made a phone that not only impressed us but ran the HTC One very, very close for the top spot in 2013 - and holds that place into 2014 too. We don't know where to start in terms of extolling the virtues of this new handset from the South Korean firm: it's got an insanely good screen, quality camera, the best audio pumping out from its speakers and headphone jack... the list goes on. We even came to tolerate, then love, the power and volume buttons being placed on the rear. These aren't ideal, but the ability to knock on the screen makes it really easy to interact with this impressive device. Verdict There's so much on offer here that we can't help but recommend it to anyone looking for the best smartphone powerhouse. The only things that we dislike are the cluttered UI (pull down the notifications bar and you'll see why) and the plastic casing, which drops the premium feel of the phone a lot, especially compared to the handset that sits one place above. But launching at £400 on PAYG (and even cheaper with a few third party retailers), along with comparable contracts older phones, is a really nice touch from LG, and we reckon it's going to pay dividends. Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy S5 2014 is turning out to be a stellar year for the prospective smartphone user, as the HTC One (M8) was joined by the Samsung Galaxy S5 in our 'best smartphone' list, and now the Xperia Z2 enters the fray too. There was a lot of hype around the new Galaxy, and rightly so: it's by far the best phone Samsung has ever produced, with a blazing fast core, a strong result in the benchmarks and a larger 5.1-inch screen. Then there's the fact that with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU the Galaxy S5 is one of the best phones on the market when it comes to battery life, besting the already impressive One M8 in the power stakes. Samsung has also dropped the 'innovation' of the air gestures from last year (well, they are in there but not the main focus) and improved the hardware with a better camera, fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor too. The last addition is pretty pointless... but hey, it's fun for down the pub. Quick verdict The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a good phone, apart from the design. It's something that needs to be updated sorely, and while it doesn't have to be an all-metal shell, it needs to evolve.

Sony Xperia Z2

Sony Xperia Z2
Sony Xperia Z2
Sony Xperia Z2 has something of a slump last year, following up the impressive Xperia Z with the lacklustre Xperia Z1 just a few months later. The camera, which was supposed to be the headline feature, didn't impress as much as we'd hoped, and the screen was still lacking the IPS clout that the Xperia Z Ultra managed - meaning muted colours and poor viewing angles. Anyway, enough about last year - Sony's back in 2014 and comes with an excellent phone in the shape of the Xperia Z2. Tipped to be the third of the stellar smartphone triumverate, alongside the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M8) we were intrigued to see how it shaped up. And the good news is it's impressive. Really impressive. The industrial design is a little chunky but oozes premium quality in a way that Samsung's plastic shell doesn't, and it's a little more robust than its Galactical and Primary rivals thanks to being IP58 rated. Great battery life, strong power and a good camera all are present and correct with our new top three phones, but Sony steals second simply by being a great all-rounder. It doesn't have the polish of the HTC One M8, nor the more functional UI, but it does what's asked with top-end specs. That's what we like. Quick verdict What did Sony need to do to impress? Not a lot, but that screen and camera needed a fix as well as adding in some other features.

HTC One M8

HTC One M8
HTC One M8
HTC One M8 What to say about the HTC One M8? They often say the second album is the hardest, but the follow up to the all-conquering HTC One takes the best of that phone and yet still re-invents things enough to make it a massive recommendation over the old model. We love the speed of the camera, the Duo Camera is smart as a tack, the Boomsound upgrade is impressive and the design... well, you have to hold it. The Snapdragon 801 processor has boosted battery dramatically compared to the 600 of last year, and that means that photos also process much more quickly as well - even the front-facing camera is much better. Gaming, movies, photography, browsing all work really well, and in a phone that that's easily going to destroy whatever anyone else can design, unless Apple or LG have got some dark sorcery up their sleeves when the iPhone 6 or LG G3 appear later in the year. Quick Verdict If we were to criticise the One M8, it would be the camera's lack of a megapixel upgrade, which means pictures are a little less sharp than they might otherwise be. That said, it's a minor point in a phone that has barely any flaws. The lower megapixel camera means faster shutter speeds, and if you don't want to zoom in a lot, most will enjoy the depth perception and background de-focus ability to make some pro-looking snaps. We urge you to hold this phone for a few seconds and try not to feel at least a small flicker of smartphone attraction. It's got great specs, a splendid design and some clever hardware innovation where the competition is relying on software to do the same thing. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Xperia Z2 failed to take the top spot, and we honestly don't know if the iPhone 6 will be good enough to head straight to the top of the pile when it appears? It looks like you're going to be spoilt for choice in 2014. HTC One M8 review Compare the best HTC One M8 deals

Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim latest model

Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim latest model
Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim
The hardware performance of the Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim is quite a bit better than the hardware performance of the Gigabyte GSmart G1315. This is because it has a 0.67 GHz faster processor, 3 more processor cores, and 0.74 GB more RAM. The quality of the Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim's display is significantly superior to the display quality of the Gigabyte GSmart G1315. This is a result of having a 79 PPI higher pixel density as well as a higher screen resolution for an overall clearer and sharper visual experience. The camera quality for both the Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim and the Gigabyte GSmart G1315 are extremely similar. This is hardly surprising, given that they have the same maximum 5 MP photo quality. A maximum possible storage capacity of 40GB versus 32.51GB leaves the Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim on top by a slight amount when compared to the Gigabyte GSmart G1315. Having 7.49 GB more storage space gives the Samsung G3812B Galaxy S3 Slim more room for multimedia such as games, apps, videos, music, and photos.

Samsung GT-I8200 to be a New Galaxy S III Mini Value Edition 2014

Samsung GT-I8200 to be a New Galaxy S III Mini Value Edition 2014
Samsung GT-I8200 to be a New Galaxy S III Mini
Samsung’s Galaxy S III Mini was originally released in November 2012 as a cheaper, less advanced alternative to that year’s S III flagship. It’s still a popular smartphone around the world, and at the moment it can be bought for around $230 unlocked. At $230, the S III Mini is already a pretty great value-for-money handset, so we were baffled to learn that a new “Value Edition” of it may be introduced soon. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S III Mini Value Edition has the model number GT-I8200 - that’s a slight upgrade from the model number of the original S III Mini (GT-I8190). Unfortunately, there are no images to show the S III Mini Value Edition, and neither details on its features. We checked the FCC and the Bluetooth SIG, finding that the GT-I8200 was approved by both certification bodies last month (December 2013), so it appears to be a brand new device. There are two variations of the handset listed at the Bluetooth SIG: a GT-I8200N, which is seemingly made for Europe, and a GT-I8200L for South America. The FCC tested only the GT-I8200N, revealing that it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi and 3G (1900 MHz). The sketch of the GT-I8200N seen at the FCC suggests that this new S III Mini looks a lot like the old one, possibly exactly the same. Its specs (display, processor, etc.) could also be similar. We can only guess that the Galaxy S III Mini Value Edition will be cheaper than the model that’s currently available. But why exactly would Samsung bother to launch it? We don’t know, but perhaps the company will shed some light on this soon. It's said that Samsung plans to introduce a Galaxy Grand Lite and a Galaxy Note 3 Lite next month, so maybe the S III Mini VE will be unveiled then as well.

Samsung Galaxy of S5 New Model

Samsung Galaxy of S5 New Model
Samsung Galaxy of S5
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the latest challenger from the South Korean brand to launch into an ever more crowded market, but at least this time the phone has focused on what users might actually want rather than useless gimmicks. The Galaxy S4 was a strong phone in spite of the insistence that being able to wave your hands over a phone or scroll with your eyes was a good thing. The Galaxy S5 takes the DNA of that handset and improves on it in most areas. It's a quiet improvement though, which may disappoint a lot of people looking to see the world's highest-res display and an all new metal chassis, but it's one that at least delivers where consumers need it. Samsung Galaxy S5 review If you're looking for a phone that reinvents the smartphone again, in the same way the Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC Desire or iPhone 4 managed, you're going to be rather disappointed with what's on offer from South Korea. However, if you're after a better camera, a brighter screen, a faster processor and a more solid design, then the Galaxy S5 will mostly deliver all you'd be looking for. Samsung Galaxy S5 review The company explained to me what it considered to be the core tenets it stuck to when creating the Galaxy S5, and they show a renewed focus over the predecessor: a better camera, faster connectivity for web browsing, personal fitness tracking, protection, and a 'modern and glam' look (its words, not mine).

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo leaked for New Images

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo leaked for New Images
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo
It seems that when we brought you the news about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo with our exclusive coverage of its features last week we opened some sort of floodgates. The phablet can't stay out of the spotlight ever since, making numerous appearances through live images, benchmark scores and the FCC certification process. Now, we have the press images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo that show the design of the phablet in all its glory. According to a report from SamMobile, the device is now available for pre-ordering in Belgium and the upcoming phablet is said to carry a price tag of €599 (about $812). Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo sits right between the Galaxy Note 2 and the current flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 3. The smartphone will feature a 5.55-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, a brand new Exynos chipset with a hexa-core CPU (1.7GHz dual core + 1.3 GHz quad core), 2 GB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera, 16 GB internal memory and a 3,100mAh battery. The official announcement of the Galaxy Note 3 Neo might happen any day now, given the rate at which these leaks are coming. Worst case scenario, we'll have to wait until the Mobile World Congress, which kicks off on February 24 in Barcelona.

Samsung Galaxy S5 no iris but fingerprint scanner for latest Model

Samsung Galaxy S5 no iris but fingerprint scanner for latest Model
Samsung Galaxy S5
According to reports from various industry sources Samsung has decided to skip the iris scanner for its upcoming Galaxy S5 flagship, but instead will focus on fingerprint scanning technology. According to a KoreanHerald source, who wished to remain unnamed, Samsung is testing different types of biometric scanners but has deemed the iris (read eye) an unintuitive one. Just imagine getting your eye close to the front of the device every time you want to unlock it. Now imaging doing so in a dark room, cinema or when you're wearing sunglasses. Such a scanner will also involve placing a new, long-range, camera module inside the device - either one for selfies and one for scanning or a more elaborate one for both tasks. Despite executive vice president Lee Young-hee's claim that the company is studying iris recognition as an option, it will reportedly focus instead on embedding a fingerprint scanner under the display so that the device will unlock once you touch it. Biometric companies IriTech Inc. and Sambon Precision and Electronics Co. both deny reports of having talks with Samsung about using their iris-scanning technology. Swedish fingerprint-scanning firm Fingerprint Cards AB, however, has acknowledged that it's talking with major smartphone makers, including Korean ones. Keep in mind that LG is also reportedly working on embedding a fingerprint scanner in its LG G3 smartphone, that is coming this year. Apple revived the fingerprint scanner by using it in their iPhone 5s smartphone and others, like HTC, have been working on implementing the technology even before Apple. As it turned out, though, the HTC One Max arrived to the market later than Apple's flagship.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 for 2014

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 for 2014
Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 for 2014
Samsung has put a lot of effort into conquering the tablet game since Apple jumped into an early lead with the original iPad. Its Galaxy Tab slates have carved out quite a bit of market share despite iffy build quality and divisive user-interface modifications, but thus far they've been mostly playing "me too." This year, we got to spend some quality time with the new Samsung Galaxy NotePRO at CES 2014. In at least one key spec, it's a tablet like no other. Even from across the room, the first thing we noticed about this tablet was its size. At 12.2 inches, the NotePro's screen is the largest we've used on a mass market tablet, and even from a brief demo it's clear that having so much screen real estate definitely opens up new uses for tablet owners.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 for LTE

In much the same way that smartphones are trending towards larger screens, it appears that manufacturers like Samsung are experimenting with the same concept in the tablet realm. The company has just introduced its latest (and largest) Android-running Galaxy Note device called the Note Pro 12.2. Announced alongside the Tab Pro 12.2 at CES, the Note Pro offers the same S Pen functionality we've enjoyed on previous devices like the Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 edition, and as usual, you're going to see some refinements in Samsung's firmware and user experience as well. The device will be available in LTE, 3G and WiFi flavors and is expected to launch sometime this quarter in various parts of the world. As soon as we tried out the new Note Pro, we immediately noticed the size and weight difference compared to Samsung's 10.1-inch offerings. Regardless of how much you trim its bezel, a 12.2-inch tablet simply isn't designed for optimal portability, which means we're more likely to use it as a coffee table device, special projects or conferences in the office. It's just a little too awkward to hold for long periods of time. Aside from that and a glaring weight difference -- 753g (1.66 lbs) on the 12.2, versus 547g (1.21 lbs) on the 10.1 -- we were hard-pressed to find any variation between the 12.2-incher and the Note 10.1 2014 edition; it features the same design, button layout, "leather-like" back and display resolution (2560x1600, for a pixel density of 247 ppi). Other than that, what stands out on the 12.2, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat, is a few key new firmware features like Remote PC and Magazine UX. Continue reading below the gallery and our hands-on video to get more of our impressions.
