Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Android Tablet |
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 debuted last month, and this is apparently soon going to be followed by the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, which is likely to be a less-expensive version of this Android tablet.
After recently getting a mention in the Wall Street Journal, this model was discovered in the GLBenchmark database by the Dutch website TechTastic, revealing many of the specs.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is supposedly going to have, logically enough, an 8-inch screen. This will have a 1280 x 800 pixel (WXVGA) resolution.
It will allegedly run Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), with Samsung's TouchWiz interface layered on top, on a dual-core 1.5Ghz Samsung Exynos 4412 processor. There will be 2GB of RAM, but the amount of built-in storage is not yet known. A 4500mAh battery will power the device.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-InchThe Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is expected to be introduced early this summer. It might be unveiled at the CTIA tradeshow later this month.
A 7-Inch Version, Too
No rumors are necessary to find out the details of the 7-inch version, as Samsung recently announced this model. This will likely appeal to those looking for a smaller, cheaper tablet than the 8-inch model.
It's screen will have a 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) resolution, while it will run Android 4.1 on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM.
These will the the part of the third generation of Samsung's Tab series. As such, they will be models aimed at more budget-consious buyers. The tablets in the Note series, on the other hand, are for those looking for a more premier experience.
